Walker, Crow-Armstrong and Vargas named Hank Aaron Award finalists

Major League Baseball announced Monday that Cardinals right fielder Jordan Walker is one of 10 National League finalists for the Hank Aaron Award, given to the most outstanding offensive player in each league, the Post-Dispatch reports. Walker, 24, set career highs with 29 homers, 102 RBIs and 97 runs, batted .269 with a .793 OPS and joined the 20-20 club with 22 steals.

Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong is also an NL finalist and, per the Post-Dispatch, the favorite after a 40-40 season with 45 homers and 41 steals. The White Sox’ Miguel Vargas is among the 10 AL finalists. The award will be presented Nov. 11 during the MLB Awards show on MLB Network.
