QND rolls Springfield High 37–14 on Homecoming

John Venvertloh accounts for four TDs; Senators fall to 2–5, still chasing a playoff berth.

Quincy Notre Dame beat Springfield High 37–14 on Friday night. Senior QB John Venvertloh threw three touchdown passes and ran for another as the Raiders jumped out early. Springfield is 2–5 (2–3 CS8 West) and still needs a win in its final two games (at MacArthur Oct. 9, vs. Normal University Oct. 15) to stay in the playoff conversation under the lowered IHSA threshold.

QND (4–3) visits Chatham Glenwood next Friday.
